Multiride, the ski hire service for a whole range of pleasures

You've decided to rent your skis online, but now you’re faced with the equipment page and doubt creeps in: should I go for black or red category skis? Should I try snowboarding this year? Why not switch between classic alpine skis and mini skis? Stop overthinking it: choose the Multiride service, which allows you to use multiple types of equipment throughout your rental period. We’ll explain how this option works and the possibilities it offers for maximising your winter sports experience during your holiday!

What is Ekosport-Rent's Multiride service?

Multiride is an option available with your ski rental, allowing you to try different types of equipment during your stay, all with just one online booking.

For example, if you rent black category skis (for experienced skiers), you can, up to 2 times, exchange this equipment in-store for mini skis, freestyle skis, or a red or black category snowboard. There are several conditions required for this additional service to be available:

  • Your ski rental period must be 6 days or longer;
  • You are limited to two equipment changes per rental (in other words, you can access 3 different types of equipment or return to the original gear after one change);
  • Eligible equipment includes alpine skis, mini skis, freestyle skis, free touring skis, freeride skis, and snowboards;
  • You can only replace your initial equipment with gear of equal or lower category (e.g., if your online rental is for a red category snowboard, you won’t be able to upgrade to premium skis but can choose red skis and/or mini skis).

Who is Multiride for?

As long as the above conditions are met, any customer can choose Multiride, for both adult and junior equipment (children aged approximately 6 to 13 years). This option is offered by our stores, giving you the opportunity to enjoy multiple winter sports with ease, without any additional costs or procedures. The price varies depending on the store and is displayed when adding the product to the basket (per skier).
We recommend Multiride in the following situations:

  • You or your child are unsure which winter sport you prefer and want to try both snowboarding and skiing;
  • You are an experienced skier but want to take some snowboarding lessons to try something new (or vice versa);
  • You are an advanced skier who enjoys both on-piste skiing and exploring the resort with freeride and ski touring outings;
  • You want to spend a day or two having fun in the snowpark with freestyle gear, but also want to ski or snowboard on the slopes for the rest of your stay;
  • You are at an "in-between" level and are unsure which category of ski or snowboard to choose: you can opt for the higher category and switch back to the lower, more forgiving category if the original equipment proves too challenging.

How to change your equipment during your stay?

To subscribe to the Multiride service, as with other rental services (ski insurance, Click & Collect, etc.), everything is done when booking online. After adding your equipment to the rental basket, the multiride service will be offered: just click to add it to your order. You can then continue and complete your rental payment online, either fully or partially thanks to flexible payment options, and don’t forget to enter a promo code if you have one.

Once on-site, after collecting the initially rented equipment, all you need to do is visit the store to swap it for other eligible gear, subject to availability in the shop. While all Ekosport-Rent stores offer multiride, not all of them have the same range of rental products available. Be sure to check the available equipment before adding Multiride to your services.
