In summary
Looking to mix things up or explore the mountains differently? Our Other Sports & Leisure range brings together equipment suited for all your desires beyond alpine skiing. From cross-country skiing (classic or skating) to ski touring for wide-open space enthusiasts, as well as snowshoeing hikes or family sledding runs, rent high-performance, recent, and accessible equipment to fully enjoy the winter domain
Cross-country ski packages
Many resorts feature dedicated nordic areas with varied cross-country trails, catering to both classic cross-country skiing and skating styles. To name just a few, resorts include Samoëns, Font-Romeu, Les Saisies, Villard-de-Lans, and more.
Whether you are looking to try cross-country skiing for the first time or are already a seasoned nordic skier, you can rent your package online with Ekosport-Rent (subject to shop availability). Choose between skis designed for classic style (featuring anti-backslip grip systems) or skating style (stiffer, shorter skis). This equipment is provided as a complete package, as cross-country skiing requires specific boots that differ significantly from alpine ski boots. Poles are naturally included as well.
Note: In select stores, rental cross-country skis are also available for children.
Touring skis
Do you enjoy a clever mix of physical exertion, downhill thrills, and peaceful tranquility away from the crowded slopes during your winter break? Touring skiing is made for you, and many Ekosport-Rent stores are fully equipped to supply your adventure. For touring beginners and seasoned ski tourers alike, we offer lightweight, versatile, durable, and maneuverable touring skis designed for maximum enjoyment both on the ascent and the descent.
As with all our equipment, rentals are available as a complete package, including specialized touring boots and an optional ski helmet.
Snowshoes
Not fully comfortable on sliding equipment? Looking to mix things up during your stay? Eager to explore hidden landscapes and mountain areas that are inaccessible from the groomed runs? Searching for a budget-friendly nature activity for your winter holiday?
For all these reasons, snowshoe hiking is the ultimate mountain activity! Their wide footprint and integrated crampons allow you to navigate smoothly across both deep powder and hard-packed snow—whether for a quick one-hour stroll or a more demanding multi-hour ascent. So don't wait: book your snowshoes today with Ekosport-Rent, either online or directly in shop depending on store availability!
Kids' and adults' sledges
For memorable moments in the mountains, sledging remains one of the ultimate activities for young and old alike! Don't burden yourself with carrying your own sledge—take advantage of kids' and adults' sledge rentals for just a few euros per day.
Select shops also offer paret rentals—a traditional wooden sledge featuring a single runner, a raised seat, and a steering foot/brake. It offers a totally unique, fun, and thrilling sliding experience!
